Pak-Austrian Institute for Tourism & Hotel Management (PAITHOM), Ministry of Tourism with the collaboration with the NAVTEC, is organizing courses of three months duration in Hospitality Sector. Training courses include: Front Office (Receptionist), Food Service (Waiter), Food Production (Cook) and Housekeeping (Room Attendant/Maid). Courses are designed to impart skills to both men and women with minimal literacy and comprise theory and on-the-job practice at selected hotels.

PAITHOM is also organizing such courses at Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu and Chitral. Last date for applications is 10 March 2007 and will start from 19 April at Hunza, Skardu and Chitral.

PAITHOM is also organizing the NAVTEC Courses at  Swat (Gulibagh). Last date for applications is 11 March 2007 and the courses will begin from 2 April.

The courses are offered free of charge and the selected candidates will be

1. paid a stipend of Rs. 1000/- per month during the training. 

2. Unemployed youth aged between 18-35 years are eligible. 

3. However, women are encouraged to apply.

4. Basic qualification to apply for these courses starts from Matric. 

5. Applicants with higher qualifications, proficiency in English and computer knowledge will be given preference.
